It's Me!
Fused glass art by Mary Ellen Larkins
In the last ten years, I have created, literally, thousands of pieces of jewelry -- earrings, pendants, bracelets, brooches, and money clips, among other items. Over the last several years, I have moved toward creating much larger items, including display pieces, tables, and brilliantly colored, distinctively shaped, and variously-sized plates and trays that are both useful and decorative.
My work is displayed at craft shows and juried exhibitions in the Washington and Annapolis areas, C-ville Arts (formally Transient Crafters) in Charlottesville, VA, The Cooley Gallery in Leesburg, VA, and at Damon Galleries in Vienna, VA. Recently some of my gallery pieces were selected for American Craftworks in Annapolis and for a show at Glenview Mansion in Rockville.
I was flattered to have a piece about me appear in the local newspaper a year or so ago. Click here to take a look!
PS -- When I first started selling my jewelry, my customers would frequently try on a pendant or a pair of earrings, look in the mirror, and exclaim "It's me!" Since ME happen to be my intials, "IT'S ME" seems like a natural title for my line.
